Iraq - Price Liberalization and Transition from the Oil for Food Program

As part of a World Bank financed project, Marek Dabrowski worked in Iraq as a member of an international team of experts preparing Iraq Needs Assessment. The topic of his mission was related to price liberalization, elimination of food rationing and phasing out the UN Oil for Food Program. The final report titled "Thinking about price liberalization and building a market economy in Iraq" was prepared in early October 2003. The shortened version of this report (titled "Building a Market Economy in Iraq") was presented during CASE internal seminar on October 17 [link], 2003 and is available on the CASE website [link].
