CASE's
advisory activity in Belarus, initiated in 1994, is focused on
monitoring the Belarusian economy and on providing substantive support
for Belarusian economists. The IPM-CASE Research Center
was created towards the end of 2002, in cooperation with the Institute
of Privatization and Management (IPM) in Minsk. It is to carry out
joint CASE and IPM projects and to act as an incubator for training
cadres of young Belarusian economists. The Center is also responsible
for preparing the quarterly publication Belarusian Economic Outlook: Trends, Analyses, Forecasts (BEO), the monthly bulletin Belarusian Economic Review and the economic publication Ekowest. IPM-CASE also organizes regular meetings about the Belarusian and world economy.
