Irina Makenbaeva (born in 1955) is a member of the Board of Directors of CASE-Kyrgyzstan. She works also as an associate professor of Kyrgyz State National University and Kyrgyz-Russian Slavonic University, and she is a coordinator of the World Bank training programs for government officials in Kyrgyzstan. Area of her scientific interests includes macroeconomics and labor economics.

Irina Makenbaeva studied at Kyrgyz State University and received her candidate (Ph.D.) degree at Leningrad (St. Petersburg) Institute of Finance and Economy.
