Private pension funds: Between effective principles and rational supervision

[ April 1999 - December 1999 ]

The project was realized in cooperation with the Lithuanian Free Market Institute, Bulgaria's Center for the Study of Democracy and the Jaan Tonisson Institute of Estonia, thanks to the financial support of Freedom House. Elena Leontyeva (LFMI) coordinated the international work; CASE's researchers Stanislawa Golinowska and Piotr Kurowski also took part. Participants of the project prepared an analysis of the functioning of pension funds and the supervisory institutions in Lithuania, Hungary, Poland, Bulgaria and Estonia. The final report entitled 'Rational Pension Supervision' was published in CASE Reports No. 36.
