Moldova - Civic Society and Democratic Institutions

Radzislawa Gortat and Piotr Kazmierkiewicz, under the leadership of Jacek Cukrowski prepared in June 2003 a report assessing the state of the democratization process in Moldova, as part of a project, Moldova - Civic Society and Democratic Institutions - financed by the Freedom House. In the report covering issues such as media freedom, citizens' rights, corruption, compliance with the law and development of the NGO sector, the authors highlighted the close link between the development of the civic society and economic situation.
