The influence of pension reform on the development of the financial market and on labor costs

[ October 2001 - December 2001 ]

Project was financed by the Polish Ministry.of Foreign Affairs. In cooperation with the G-17 Institute, CASE experts Marek Gora and Piotr Bujak, prepared a report entitled 'Current Situation of the Pension System in Yugoslavia and the Need of a Reform: International Experience with Particular Stress on Possible Lessons from the Polish Case'. Based on Poland's experiences, the report set forward various scenarios for carrying out pensions reform in Yugoslavia. It also assessed its influence on labor costs and on the development of the financial market. The presentation of the report and its submission to the Yugoslav government took place on 20 December 2001 at a conference in Belgrade.
