Training seminars for the Ministry of Finance and NBR staff

As part of the 'Pro Democratia' International Economic Advisory Group a series of seminars for senior NBR and Ministry of Finance employees was held in April 1998. These focused on fiscal projections concerning inflation, budget deficit and basic macroeconomic aggregates in various monetary and fiscal policy scenarios for the years 1997-2000. Wojciech Maliszewski and Maryla Maliszewska were authors of the macroeconomic model and macroeconomic projections; Marek Dabrowski was the consultant. Maryla Maliszewska presented to NBR staff a model of foreign trade for Romania and simulations of export and import flows for 1998 under various scenarios of currency appreciation.
