Formation of the Quarterly Macroeconomic Model for Romania

Over the summer of 1999 Wojciech Maliszewski and Maryla Maliszewska participated in the formulation of the quarterly macroeconomic model for Romania to be used in forecasting GPD, inflation and trade flows. This involved interpolation of the annual series of GDP and estimation of basic macroeconomic relationships. The model and simulations were presented at the seminar organized by CEROPE. Over the summer 2000 Wojciech Maliszewski worked on a general equilibrium analysis of the effects of energy subsidization on resource allocation in Romania. The results were presented at the seminar organized by CEROPE.
