Study Tour on Regulation of Local Government Finances - Macedonia

During April 18-24, 2004 CASE organized study tour for the representatives of local governments and central administration of Macedonia. The main objective of the visit was to present Polish experience on decentralization of public finances and on creation of different tiers of local governments. The applied financing model was analyzed in details as well as changes introduced to this model. The group met independent experts, representatives of the Finance Ministry, Mazowiecki Regional Accounting Office, local government associations and selected municipalities.
