Description: The purpose of the project is to study corporate governance practices in three NIS countries: Russia, Ukraine and Kyrgyzstan. CASE team led by Piotr Kozarzewski is responsible for the preparation of background studies on institutional and legal ramifications for corporate governance in Russia, Kyrgyzstan and Ukraine, development of the research methodology, overseeing the preparation, organization and implementation of two studies in Kyrgyzstan, and producing a comparative report on corporate governance in Poland, Russia, Kyrgyzstan and Ukraine. The data obtained in the course of enterprise surveys in these countries will be used to study the relationship between ownership structure, investments and demand for corporate governance standards.
