European Forecasting Network
[ January 2005 - December 2007 ]
The EFN (European Forecasting Network) was a three-year project aimed at producing bi-annuel macro-economic forecast of the euro area for the European Commission. The reports also covered the EU as a whole as well as other regions of the world, and provided an analysis of topical policy issues. The forecast and analysis were prepared by EUROFRAME - EFN, which is a group consituted of 10 European, independent institutes: CPB (The Hague), DIW (Berlin), ESRI (Dublin), ETLA (Helsinki), IfW (Kiel), NIESR (London), OFCE (Paris), PROMETEIA (Bologna), WIFO (Vienna), and CASE (Warsaw). When the project ended in 2007, the EUROFRAME Group decided to continue to issue reports on a yearly basis. The Automn 2008 Report is the result of the Group's initiative.
