This conference focuses on the Justice and Home Affairs elements in the European Neighbourhood Policy and in particular those related to the movement of persons. It is the first conference to be organised by the ENEPO project in Brussels.

ENEPO – EU Eastern Neighbourhood: Economic Potential and Future Development is a specific targeted research project funded by the 6th Framework Programme of the European Union. Its main objective is to examine the potential of the European Neighbourhood Policy (ENP) to upgrade the relations between the enlarged EU and the new independent states (NIS) of the former USSR in the spheres of trade, investment, labour movement, technical cooperation, and to speed up economic and governance reforms in NIS, with special attention given to mutual interdependence between these cooperation areas.
